At the Top of The World I got to capture these beautiful engagement photos in scenic Laguna Beach, California. This spot has become a personal favorite for me. My husband and I have spent many sunsets walking these trails. This location is everything!

Meghan + Calvin have a beautiful love. It has extended over many years, including many hardships and many celebrations. The steadfastness of their bond is almost physically visible. I felt honored to capture it through photographs, to preserve forever.

I hope and pray that all my couples get a taste of this through my photographs. I’m always excited for the beautiful places, the beautifully planned events, and many more things that come along with photographing couples & weddings. Regardless, it is always the people and their stories that bing tears to my eyes. Maybe it just happens to be beside the Rocky Mountains, or during a beautiful wedding ceremony, or during the reception speeches, but it is always the people. I’m so thankful to capture stories.

Things you need to know about Top of the World before your shoot –

This is a hike! Make sure you wear the appropriate shoes, even if it’s just to go from spot to spot. I recommend sneaks or sandals that are tightly secured around your foot. Even the sandals you see Meghan wearing in these photos will do! If anything, avoid high heels!

Check the weather. Since this is a lookout spot, on a cloudy or misty day, you may miss out on all the incredible views! Even on a sunny day, make sure to know what time sunset is to get the perfect lighting for your shoot!

Arrive early to ensure a parking spot. There is only limited street parking at this location so sometimes it takes a few circles around the block before finding a spot! I’ve never had an issue where a spot didn’t open up within 10-20 minutes. The back up plan can be to park at nearby athletic fields at Alta Laguna Park!
